Archos FM Preset Editor.

The FM Preset Editor is a small program to help you create an FM preset file (FMPreset.txt) that can be read by your Archos MP3 player when you connect the optional FM Remote control to it.

You simply enable the number of preset stations you would like to create (make a check mark in "enabled"), adjust the radio frequency for that preset, and then give it a name (up to 32 characters in length). For example 89.9 New York Smoothe Jazz. Once the program is started, you can create a new list of programs or load the current list of stations and modify it. To modify your current station list, simply connect your Archos device to your computer via the USB cable and then click on the button "load". You will then locate and open the file "FMPreset.txt" in the "System" folder on the Archos device. Once you have created your desired radio stations, save your file "save file", to the directory "System" on your Archos device (this requires that you connect your device to the computer with a USB cable). When you try to save the file to your Archos device, the computer will indicate to you that the file FMPreset.txt already exists. It is OK to write over the old one. You will be replacing the old set of radio station presets with the new one you have just created

You can also save the station preset file on your computer in case you want to easily edit it without having to reload it in from your Archos player. Each time you change the radio presets, you must save this file to your player's "System" folder in order for the remote control to take into account the new  stations you have created in your FMpreset.txt file.
