Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II Camera Firmware 1.1.6

This firmware update (version 1.1.6) includes the following improvements: Fix the phenomenon wherein the camera does not detect the capacity correctly when high-capacity recording media are initialized.

It fixes the phenomenon wherein the camera does not detect the capacity correctly when high-capacity recording media are initialized.

  • a) SDHC cards with capacities exceeding 2GB (e.g., 4GB, 8GB) are now supported.
  • b) The phenomenon wherein the camera cannot correctly detect the capacity of CF cards with capacities exceeding 8GB (e.g., 12GB, 16GB) correctly when they are initialized has been corrected.

    This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware version up to 1.1.5 installed. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.1.6, it is not necessary to perform this update.

    It can be updated by copying the downloaded file to an initialized (formatted) CF card (SD card) by the EOS-1Ds Mark II, and then loading the card in the camera. Please refer to the PDF file for more details.
