Casio EX-S500 Digital Camera Firmware Update v1.02.V1.01-V1.02 Fixed a problem that sometimes made it impossible to achieve the desired results at shutter speeds slower than one second. V1.00-V1.01 Fixed a problem that caused the wrong white balance setting to be registered when saving a user setup. V1.00-V1.01 Fixes a problem that caused occasional distortion in the upper part of a snapshot recorded during movie recording. 1. If "Ver.1.00-1.01" appears, you need to download this update software and install it on your camera. 2. If "Ver.1.02" appears, it means that your camera already is running the latest firmware version, so you do not need to install this update.
Improvements Provided by This Update:
To check your firmware version, On your EX-S500 camera, hold down the [MENU] button as you press the [POWER ON/OFF] switch to turn on the camera. Keep [MENU] depressed until the version of your camera's firmware appears on the monitor screen.
To install this firmware update on your camera, you must copy it into the root directory (the top directory on the drive) of built-in camera memory or on a memory card. Because of this, you need to have the USB cable (that comes bundled with the camera) on hand or a card slot available on your computer.
