Creative ZEN Vision:M 30GB Firmware 1.51.01.

This download contains an improved version of the firmware found on your ZEN Vision:M. It adds the Volume Restriction feature, which allows you to restrict your player\'s maximum playback volume. For more information, read the rest of this web release note. This firmware removes your player\'s FM recording feature.

Note: If your current firmware version is 1.50.02, the new firmware will require you to re-transfer any existing DRM-enabled tracks back to your player. For more information, see \"Notes\" below.

Added Features or Enhancements:

  • Adds language support for Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Turkish.
  • Adds the Volume Restriction feature, which allows you to restrict your player\'s maximum playback volume.
  • Adds the Highly Rated and Yet To Be Rated options to your player\'s DJ.
  • Improves DRM-protected file transfer latency.
  • Provides the Zoom To Full option to play back a cropped video in full screen while maintaining its aspect ratio.
  • Supports Creative ZEN Vision:M Docking Station.

    Fixes:

  • Ensures that the video aspect ratio is preserved in videos playing through the Video Out jack
  • Improves the battery\'s charging functionality.
  • Ensures proper playback of DRM-enabled tracks under certain usage scenarios.

    Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later), Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 or later
  • Windows Media Player 10 or later
  • AudibleManager version 5.00 or later for Audible audio content playback
  • USB 1.1 port (USB 2.0 recommended for faster transfers)

    Notes:

  • This firmware supports the playback of Audible Type 2 and 4 tracks. Important: to transfer Audible content, you must have AudibleManager? version 5 or later installed. AudibleManager allows you to download, burn, organize, transfer and hear Audible audio content. Download AudibleManager from www.audible.com/software.
  • To install this firmware: Download the file into your local hard disk. Close all application and Windows Explorer windows that are currently running on your computer. From your ZEN Vision:M\'s main menu, select System -> Information to check your player\'s current firmware version. Connect your player to your computer. Double-click the firmware file and follow the instructions on the screen. If the firmware version checked in step 3 above was 1.50.02, launch the transfer software to delete and re-transfer DRM-enabled tracks to your player.
