Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.02.03.

This download contains an improved version of the firmware originally found on your MuVo V100. It enables you to play Audible content on your player. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Enhancements:

  • Supports Audible playback. Important: to transfer Audible content, you must have AudibleManager version 5 or later installed. AudibleManager allows you to download, burn, organize, transfer and hear Audible audio content. Download AudibleManager from www.audible.com/software.
  • Improves management of audio tracks with multiple Library support.
  • Adds the Volume Restriction feature, which allows you to restrict your player\'s maximum playback volume.

    Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP or Windows 2000
  • Available USB port (version 1.1 or higher)
  • Creative MuVo V100

    Notes:

  • This firmware only works with Creative MuVo V100 players. Do not install this firmware for other players.
  • You will lose all content in your player when you install the firmware. Back up any audio or data files in your player to your computer before installing the firmware.
  • To install this firmware, do the following: Download the MuVoV100_PCFW_16_1_02_03.exe file into your local hard disk. Connect your player to your computer. Double-click the downloaded file. If you are prompted to reset your player, click OK. If the Find New Hardware dialog box appears on the computer screen, follow the instructions on the screen to complete the wizard. When the firmware download dialog box appears, click Start and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • To enable volume restriction, do the following: From the main menu, Scroll Select Settings -> Restrict Volume -> On. In the volume bar that appears, Scroll Select the maximum volume that you want. When you are prompted to set a password, Scroll Select Yes to password-protect your volume restriction setting, and use the Scroller to set a password. Scroll Select No to enable volume restriction without password protection.
  • To disable volume restriction, do the following: Make sure you stop audio playback and take off your earphones. Your player will play back audio at maximum levels when you disable this feature. From the main menu, Scroll Select Settings -> Restrict Volume. You will be prompted for a password, if you set one. Use the Scroller to enter your password. Scroll Select Off.
  • If you have forgotten your password, clean up your player\'s firmware. To do so, Press and hold the Play/Pause button and Scroller simultaneously until your player turns on.Use the Scroller to enter your password. Scroll Select Clean Up. When the clean up is complete, Scroll Select Reboot to restart your player.
