Kodak DC290 Digital Camera Firmware 1.04 Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000 English.

The Firmware Update:

  • Adds language support for a Simplified Chinese user interface.
  • Improves battery life when taking Timelapse pictures by not utilizing the Liveview and Quickview functions of the color LCD.
  • Fixes other minor bugs.

    All of the instructions in the Firmware Readme file should be followed closely and freshly charged NiMH batteries should be inserted prior to updating the firmware on the camera. If you have the recommended Kodak AC adapter for the DC290, you should connect that to the camera prior to updating the firmware on the camera. If these recommendations are followed, firmware update installation is quick and easy, taking about one minute. Be sure not to turn off the camera during the firmware update. If this happens or if the camera power fails during the update, damage may occur to the camera which could require servicing.
